Although Krui is a remote area, there are numerous excellent dining options to suit every taste, ranging from traditional Indonesian cuisine to Western dishes.
Mandiri is renowned for offering some of the finest culinary choices in the entire region, conveniently located just a short walk or moped ride away from The Fields. Among their many delectable offerings, three of our personal favorites are Leafy’s Cafe, Yoi Beach House, and Seven Eatery Space.
Leafy’s Cafe, a local institution in Krui, has expanded to four locations across the region. You can find them in front of The Peak, at Krui Left, on Mandiri Beach, and at Tanjug Setia (The Point). Leafy’s menu boasts a wide variety of Indonesian and Western classics, as well as refreshing soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. Their coffee is renowned for its quality. The portions are generous and a staple for many holidaymakers.
Yoi Beach House, undoubtedly the swankiest dining spot in the area, offers a fantastic option to enjoy a beautiful sunset cocktail or two with dinner. Yoi boasts an infinity pool, a restaurant, and a cocktail bar overlooking the world-famous Mandiri Beach. The menu includes juices, beers, and an extensive selection of cocktails and mocktails. The food is perfect for sharing, featuring a delightful array of Indonesian and Western fusion dishes. It’s an ideal spot for families with children.
Seven Eatery Space on Mandiri is a charming little pop cafe that has become a beloved spot for locals and passersby alike. Their delectable menu offers a perfect blend of quick bites, takeaways, and dine-in options, all set in a social beach shack-style dining area. The menu is incredibly good value for money, and the atmosphere is simply great. They also have a restaurant located at Krui Left in town.
